Notes |
"Returning To The Purity of the Current" This album is Coil's third full LP release. Most of the tracks are B Sides that could not be included in their second LP "Horse Rotorvator". Other tracks are either rarities from the very early days of coil, fully produced songs that might have been intended for "The Dark Age of Love" (the original title of Coil's fourth LP that when production started full swing changed to the familiar title "Love's Secret Domain"), and even a wonderfull orchestral track that saw it's life start as a possible main theme for Hellraiser. *I consider myself a true fan, and this work is very dear to me. In my fashion to rate and grade fairly all the forms of media I encounter, "Gold is the Metal with the Broadest Shoulders" ranks extreamly high. Despite it's deceptive ruffness, this LP soars in imagination and wonder. The music presented here is timeless and beautiful. I could go on and on, but I won't. I consider this masterpeice number three on the list of Coil's best albums, and consequently the number three album of all time by any artist. Thank You, S.C.T.N.T. |
